Your day to day Guest Experience • Create, develop and market key events for the hotel, especially during key business periods • Communicate effectively, to target markets, the amenities and benefits of the hotel, including hotel refurbishments, food and beverage provisions, conference, banqueting and events • Work with local third-party partners, including local media, and maintain professional working relationships with local official bodies • Create and maintain a comprehensive media and marketing contact management system relevant to the target audiences of the hotel • Work closely across all hotel departments, seeking proactive opportunities and planned promotions to address specific business challenges, as required • Manage and promote the hotel on IHG brand website. • Coordinate media enquiries with General Manager when approached for comments and/or reports • Research and develop new opportunities within key target markets • Communicate with internal operational teams on all aspects of specific event organization and promotions • Owning and managing the Hotel content calendar, aligning activity with key campaigns, seasonal moments and specific days/ periods, handling social media accounts. • Reviewing SEO and website content to ensure brand alignment and accuracy • Conduct comprehensive market research, monitor competitor activity, and analyze industry trends to enhance the property's market positioning • Build, cultivate, and manage strong relationships with media partners, influencers, agencies, and key stakeholders to maximize brand exposure and foster community engagement • Keep a close eye on Hotel Guest reviews and work on solutions where Marketing can contribute • Maintain a data bank of all past social events/ activations/ marketing events at the hotel for any future reference • Attend Industry events and networking opportunities as per Hotel’s need. Financial • Manage and control marketing budgets/ forecast by using resources effectively. • Review any additional marketing spends outside of the budget/ forecast with DOSM for approval. • Develop and own promotional activities, marketing channels and the production of marketing materials for specific events • Implement PR campaigns to celebrate successes and awards and the promotion of product • Track performance and ROI through monthly reporting, budget management, supplier coordination, and stakeholder presentations, ensuring brand compliance and financial accountability. People • Develop and support the Marketing Coordinator/ Marketing & PR Executive, where applicable • Manage day-to-day marketing activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for any reporting/ supporting team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance. Responsible Business • Identify operational problems that reduce the effectiveness of marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with appropriate department on solutions. • Engage in the hotel CSR activities on timely manner. • Promote hotel sustainability efforts through creative post, campaigns and collaborations. What we need from you • Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Marketing specialization or related field. • Two to four years of experience in a hospitality or hotel marketing setting with direct supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. • Only candidates with a valid visa/ unrestricted work rights in Australia will be considered. • Must speak local language. Other languages preferred.
